The project involved the comprehensive reconstruction of the existing road and sidewalks along 860 m as well as the installation of tram tracks (Slab Track – Rheda City system) over a length of 886 m. The construction section also included two tram stops – Dr.-Külz-Straße and Zillerstraße – which were upgraded to barrier-free accessibility as part of the works.
