End‑to‑end delivery of complete rail systems, from special trackwork to earthing and bonding.

Rhomberg Sersa Australia delivered 3.5 kilometres of light rail Edilson system through Newcastle’s busy CBD, extending the alignment to within 200 metres of Newcastle Beach. Working within a constrained urban corridor required detailed planning, close coordination, and a disciplined approach to minimise disruption to the community and local businesses.

Scope of works

Our scope included the full installation of rail and special trackwork elements, including turnouts, crossovers, insulated rail joints, and all cast‑in components and connection systems within the track slab. We also delivered all track‑related concrete works, reinforcement installation, and the complete earthing and bonding system required for safe and reliable network operation.

Project outcomes

Despite the challenges of a high‑traffic CBD setting, we delivered high‑quality, durable track infrastructure that now forms a critical component of Newcastle’s modern light rail system.
