Rhomberg Sersa Bahntechnik GmbH, together with the German Federal Railway (Deutsche Bahn GmbH) are jointly responsible as general contractors for the electrical and telecommunication infrastructure contract in the Lower Inn Valley. The contract was awarded by the Austrian Federal Railway Infrastructure department (Osterreichische Bundesbahn (OBB) Infrastruktur AG (GB Ul)).

The newly built railway line between Kundl and Baumkirchen in the Lower Inn Valley, Austria, is a 41 kilometre double line track. The line consists of tunnels, Uboxes and other subsurface structures and connects to the future Brenner Base Tunnel, which forms part of the MunichVerona (TEN1 BerlinPalermo) rail axis. The rail link will transport both passengers as well as freight. With trains travelling at speeds of up to 250km/h.
