About the project

In a first step, a base slab of approximately 16 cm thickness was constructed in concrete. Concreting was carried out using road vehicles. This was followed by the installation and concreting of the slab track system.

All logistics were handled via the Preda portal. Concrete was transported by rail via the newly installed track to the respective installation sections. Materials such as rails and sleeper blocks were delivered weekly by RhB and transported into the tunnel via the already installed track.

The works were carried out in a two-shift operation. During the day shift, track installation, setup and concreting were performed, while during the night shift all logistics for track construction materials were handled.

The clear separation of installation and logistics processes ensured efficient and continuous execution within the tunnel.
