With this new machine type, Bahnbau Wels, the specialist within the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group, can support you even better: The Universal Tamper 4.0 S7 PLS 16 4.0-S is a further step towards optimising the processing of tracks and switches. The universal tamping machine from System7 Rail Support can collect additional parameters such as the compaction force or data on the condition of the ballast in the track and switch area.

Due to a "whispering tamping unit", which only vibrates during the tamping process, the machine causes more than 7dBA less noise than conventional tamping units. With this, Bahnbau Wels is setting a further sign for sustainability. The vibration, which is limited to the tamping process, results in a significant reduction in noise, thus protecting the operator and the environment.

Further innovations for easier operation and maintenance of the machine, such as condition monitoring of the working units, a new optical measuring system and the application of industry 4.0 methods round off the equipment package.
