10 years of the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group

The Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group is a family business. That is why those responsible think in terms of generations. They make decisions with a view to the future, independent of banks and politics. They are also convinced that economic success is possible in harmony with respect for people and the environment.

It is therefore all the more gratifying that the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group can already look back on a whole decade of success this year, during which the company has constantly developed and has grown solidly and securely.

The Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group (RSRG) is a family business.

In the space of 10 years, we have developed into an international group of companies, which

  • is consistently on a path to doubling its turnover. With a construction output of 574 million in 2021/22.
  • operates in 8 countries on 3 continents at more than 100 locations.
  • counts more than 2,600 RSRG "family members”.
  • has more than 230 rail-bound machines in operation.
  • is more committed than ever to technology, innovation and development of people.

The lighthouse projects of the past years and decade include the Lötschberg Base Tunnel (Switzerland), the track and switch tamping work on the ÖBB network (Austria), the S&C North Alliance project (UK), the SBB switch renewal contract (Switzerland), the Stuttgart 21 project and the new Wendlingen-Ulm line (Germany), the Koralm Tunnel (Austria), the Bybanen C21 project (Norway), the New Cottbus Plant (Germany) and many other projects.

We celebrate at InnoTrans

It is a nice coincidence that InnoTrans 2022 is taking place almost exactly 10 years to the day after the signing of the contract between Sersa and Rhomberg. And so, we are celebrating our 10th anniversary at InnoTrans 2022 based on the motto "A success story goes on". But it would not be us if we were not also looking to the future at the same time, because for us it's certain: rail is the mobility solution of the future. That is why we are already investing in innovative concepts, high-quality solutions and state-of-the-art technologies and are testing them in selected projects and use cases, which we are presenting at no less than three exhibition stands.

At our indoor stand in Hall 25, visitors can expect the latest mixed reality technology such as the rail training simulator from NXRT, and we are also optimising our core business with our "Digital Rail Services". Moreover, our product heroes such as Digital Track Diagnostics, IVES and HandraiLIT can be viewed live and on site in the south outdoor area over 100 m². And at the InnoTrans Campus in Hall 4.2, we are looking for people to help shape our mobility solutions of the future and outline the wide range of career and development opportunities at the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group.
