Knauthain Station

Due to wear and tear, extensive works on tracks and turnouts were required at Knauthain Station. In connection with these works, deep drainage measures also had to be carried out, as some track sections were regularly affected by moisture.

Due to wear and tear, extensive works on tracks and turnouts were required at Knauthain Station. In connection with these works, deep drainage measures also had to be carried out, as some track sections were regularly affected by moisture.

Project scope

  • Track 1: 766 m track renewal with PSS, 1,000 m deep drainage, dismantling of turnout 23 and 27 (RB/LS), removal without replacement of 700 m of track and turnout 21
  • Track 2: 844 m track renewal with PSS, renewal of turnouts 2, 25, and 26 (EW 500 with PSS), dismantling of turnouts 5 and 24 (RB/LS), 627 m deep drainage
  • Renewal of 1 level crossing (TAILBETON), 1 level crossing (STRAIL), and 1 pedestrian crossing
  • Renewal of connection turnout A1
  • Grinding works
