Project description
This project involved the renewal of tracks and turnouts on line 6240 between Neustadt station and the German/Czech border. As a trans-European line, the track is used by both national and international freight and passenger traffic. Damage to the railway infrastructure caused by the flood events of 2002 and 2013 made renewal works necessary. In cooperation with Hentschke GmbH, 8 turnouts, 2,877 m of track, and two double-track railway bridges (EÜ) were renewed in Rathen. In addition, one turnout and a logistics track were newly constructed, and a logistics track was extended by 180 m.
